Staying in a room with a swim-up or private pool is a game changer. We took advice from those of you who would never book a hotel without one ever again. We have featured some of the best options here so you follow in their footsteps.
What is a swim-up room/pool?
If, like some of the team here have never heard of a swim-up pool do not worry, you are not alone. Spending hours in the pool is something that so many children cannot wait to do on holiday. Can you imagine yourself in a position where you can literally step off your terrace and into your pool? Or sit on your own private terrace while the children play? If you have kids itching to get into the pool the second they arrive then you will know. The general hardship you will be under to get them in quickly enough in the morning and again removing them from their favourite location in the evening, can be a struggle.
A swim-up pool means you can, quite simply, swim-up to your room. This also means if you aren't ready to face the day (or the public) you don't have to in order for kids to make a splash at the crack of dawn.
Of course, safety is something to be considered, but with many having secure entrances this is covered. Adult supervision is required but this is the case no matter where your children are swimming, so nothing new there. Just make sure you keep your doors locked until you are ready to go outside and watch them!
