FAMILY LOWDOWN TIPS & IDEAS has an active membership of over 800,000 people and is one of the largest Facebook groups in the world. This is a unique opportunity to share your business into the group to help promote your business to new audiences and increase sales.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

 

THE FAIR PACKAGES

• Small businesses with a relevant back to school offer can register for the fair by purchasing the ‘Back to School Fair’ package from our website www.familylowdown.com.

• Each small business is responsible for ensuring that the offer will suit them.

• Family Lowdown takes no responsibility for the suitability of packages for small businesses.

• There are three packages available - outlined below.

 

COST & DETAILS

TIER ONE (SILVER): £75

• 4* posts into the FAMILY LOWDOWN TIPS & IDEAS Facebook group during August 2024.

• The Family Lowdown Endorsement Badge will be provided to layer onto product images or include in your posts.

• Advertisements from Family Lowdown directing members to the fair.

• Any posts made in a week (Saturday 8am to Friday 12pm) will be featured (maximum of one)  in our weekly Fair ‘round up’ posts. The first of these will be done on 9th August 2024, and will feature all posts submitted between 8am, 1st August - 12pm, 9th August.

 

TIER TWO (GOLD): £130

• 8*  posts into the FAMILY LOWDOWN TIPS & IDEAS Facebook group during August 2024.

• The Family Lowdown Endorsement Badge will be provided to layer onto product images or include in your posts.

• Advertisements from Family Lowdown directing members to the fair.

• Any posts made in a week (Saturday 8am to Friday 12pm) will be featured (maximum of one)  in our weekly Fair ‘round up’ posts. The first of these will be done on 9th August 2024, and will feature all posts submitted between 8am, 1st August - 12pm, 9th August.

 

TIER THREE (PLATINUM): £300

LIMITED NUMBER OF SPACES AVAILABLE

• 8*  posts into the FAMILY LOWDOWN TIPS & IDEAS Facebook group during August 2024.

• The Family Lowdown Endorsement Badge will be provided to layer onto product images or include in your posts.

• Advertisements from Family Lowdown directing members to the fair.

• Any posts made in a week (Saturday 8am to Friday 12pm) will be featured (maximum of one)  in our weekly Fair ‘round up’ posts. The first of these will be done on 9th August 2024, and will feature all posts submitted between 8am, 1st August - 12pm, 9th August.

• PLATINUM ONLY Bespoke email, featuring just your business to our 55,000+ mailing list.

 

WHO CAN TAKE PART 

• This event is designed to help independent small businesses. We do not accept any franchises of larger (parent) companies, brand consultants for larger businesses, multi level marketIng schemes or any businesses that could be considered to be operating on the same principles. 

• All posts must offer a product or service that is suitable for our community and related to ‘Back to School’. This will be at the discretion of the Family Lowdown Team. 

• In the event of too many small businesses promoting the same or very similar product, places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please note that it is at our discretion who can take part in the fair and whether products would be considered relevant or too similar to other offers.

PAYMENT 

• Individuals are able to purchase multiple packages for different businesses. Each business can only have access to the terms of one package. All sales are non-transferable and non-refundable. 

• Payment will be taken via the Family Lowdown website to secure the package. Our payment platform, Stripe, will provide an invoice/receipt for the purchase of the package for record keeping. 

• The deadline for all applications to register in the Family Lowdown Back to School Fair 2024 is 10pm Friday 22nd August 2024. Number of posts available will reduce after 9th August. The fair will officially run from 8am on the 1st August 2024 until the 10pm on the 31st August 2024.

 

POSTING IN FAMILY LOWDOWN TIPS & IDEAS 

• Businesses are advised to look at posts that performed well in previous Fairs and learn from their successes. 

• To help speed up post approval, you must ensure you include your STALL NUMBER (this is your order number) e.g #10053 - you will find this under your Invoice number on your invoice “Invoice for order: #10066”, the hashtag #FLSCHOOLFAIR24 and the endorsement badge (we recommend using it as an overlay in the corner of one of your images).

• Posts cannot be deleted and re-posted. Each individual post shared is considered one of the posts included in the package. Facebook provides us with an activity log which shows all post activity.

• Please do not edit posts unless absolutely necessary. Edits will require reapproval, and may delay your post receiving attention. Repeated edits will be declined. 

• Businesses can choose when to post and how close together you wish to share your posts. It is the responsibility of the business to remember to post. We will not be able to check this for you. 

• Your posts can contain details about your product or service, web links, photos and video content. Any links should be shortened and tested before being posted. We are not responsible for the format of posts.

• It is your responsibility to make sure your post meets all the requirements set out in this agreement.

 

RESPONDING TO POSTS 

• Businesses who are part of the fair may promote their products or services in the comments of other posts within the group (but not other fair participants posts) - but must link to one of their current fair posts. 

• We reserve the right to suspend any businesses who respond to posts or try to promote their products and services outside of the terms of this fair. 

• In the event that a business is suspended from the Family Lowdown Back to School Fair for not adhering to the rules outlined in this document, no refund will be given. Any business that is suspended will be provided with the reason(s) for their suspension.

TIER 3 (PLATINUM) ONLY - FAIR EMAIL CONTENT

• Businesses who have purchased the ‘Tier 3’ package are eligible for a bespoke email featuring their business on its own. Content (including images) must be submitted at time of purchase, and the FLTI team will review the content and suggest edits. 

• Each business will feature in a separate email, which will be sent out to the mailing list at regular intervals throughout the month.  

• This is a limited offer, and should capacity be filled a refund will be provided.

GUARANTEES  

• We will support small businesses to make the most of this opportunity however we cannot guarantee any sales.

• We cannot guarantee other outcomes for businesses such as website traffic, social media growth or examples of increased brand awareness, although we would hope this is the case. 

• We cannot guarantee how our members will respond to posts in FAMILY LOWDOWN TIPS & IDEAS. Should any issues arise, we will work to ensure that they are dealt with swiftly and appropriately. Please ‘report’ any issues to the Admin team by the ‘Report to Admins’’ feature in Facebook.
